Moore's Law turns 50

It wasn't about twice the CPU power every 2 years but doubling the transistors every 2 years, and the smaller the package the harder that is becoming!

We should be close to the threshold of some type of completely new substances for the manufacturing process, that is not as limited as what's being currently used.

That aside, How the heck are you doing?

I hope all is well with you and yours! Ry

All good mate ... working away from home a bit. Flying up and back from Perth to Onslow about 5 times in the last month. I am tired of the go-cart seats in the Fokker 100 let me tell you. :)

With current processes doubling the transistors every two years is going to be hard if not impossible fairly soon, then again Bill Gates said 640k should be enough for anyone.

I personally feel there will be some manufacturing change that will allow Moore's law to hold up longer.
