[citation][nom]jerrspud[/nom]I noticed you can drag a tab and pull it to a new window last night. that I liked[/citation]
I like how you can drag it back again as well, or drag the original onto the pulled off one
DL'd it
Played with it
Liked it
Gonna keep it
Does exactly what it says on the tin

I'm feeling really out of things. I don't like the minized approach. That is why I suffered through IE8 and didn't use chrome. I don't like the downloads like firefox that they have done. I am able to browse easier and get around the browser faster without those.

It was really good, but the problem was the adobe flash player said that it was not compatible for my windows 7 64 bit system. so i upgraded to the latest version which IE9 is supported flash is not working properly now.

i generally don't load beta software no matter how good the review says it is.
but with all your feedback maybe i'll try both ie9 and ff4 on a test machine.

[citation][nom]acadia11[/nom]Gusy so is it worht gettting?[/citation]
Unfortunately, it doesn't contain a magical automatic spell-checker so you probably won't see much of an improvement. Stick to FF where deliberate spelling errors just make you look 1337.

in the 90s i was always a Netscape fan...
had to use IE in school cause thats what they had.
Even now, i'm not a fan of IE
The customization that Firefox offers, the speed of Chrome, why use anything less?

ok, does anyone know how to remove it? i tried and don't like it at the moment. i know it's beta but it's very slow compared to firefox. for some reason there aren't any options which allows it to be removed

I like it----much more responsive than previous iterations. MS has been slowly getting better since the atrocity that was IE6 (IMHO the king of bad browsers).

Adobe's 64bit flash will crash the 64bit IE9 on certain sites, although using the 32/32 on the same sites is just fine.

No native ad blocker? Nope? Then forget about it. I'll stick with Chrome or Firefox...

[citation][nom]crom[/nom]I grabbed IE9 beta to compare it to FF4 beta for the most part. It is a step up from IE8 that's for sure, and I really like what they did with the UI. That being said it still pales in speed vs Chrome, and is much slower than Firefox when it comes to hardware acceleration. Beyond all those points, IE9 isn't cross platform, which is one of the most important things for me since I can sync up my work PC and Mac with Firefox without having to do anything and can go back and forth with them easily.[/citation]

Strange. I did the same thing and FF 4 beta was slower in hardware acceleration than IE9 Beta. Might depend on hardware.

I find it funny how defensive people get. They spew hate for IE9 but don't realize that if IE9 actually is good it will push FF to be better. Of course we can't have that can we? We just have to sit on current browsers and state they are great. Hell people say Chrome is so great yet they haven't even put hardware acceleration in it yet. Makes ya wonder.

I got it for testing on my m11x, with I7 to give you an idea of what im testing it out on. I downloaded IE9 first and ran with it for about that day, then i ran FF, and i have to say FF does feel much slower, and not surprisingly IE8. and if your wondering yes optimus works with it. I havent compared it with FF4 beta yet though. im not sure if i will make it my primary browser, but what i can say is im not going to be using IE8 or FF3 any more. just so many good options coming out!

Supremely unimpressed. Laggy, prone to "Not responding". Terrible, just like all other iterations of IE.

Terrible though it is no, guy, it did not crash your computer. Like most computer problems, it was probably a PEBCAK error.

[citation][nom]nebun[/nom]ok, does anyone know how to remove it? i tried and don't like it at the moment. i know it's beta but it's very slow compared to firefox. for some reason there aren't any options which allows it to be removed[/citation]
You probably have to do a 'system restore' to the point before you installed your IE9. Let's hope that you did not disable your system restore. :)

lol i love how everyone think firefox is better when it really is (from a coders point of view) is actually so f**ken shit its amazing FF actually works!

IE9's been fantastic for me at work. It's another thing that's pushing me to upgrade my ol' home PC (on XP). Would love to be using IE9 at home too.
