Mortal Kombat X lags in menu

my pc specs are
lenovo k300
core 2 duo e8400 3.0ghz
radeon hd 6950 1gb powercolour
ram 7gb ddr3
450watt antec psu
all the settings are at low the playing of mortal kombat x is very smooth it gives 40-60fps but during player select and video it lags very much and also takes atleast 10 mins for loading each match..any solution!!!!

Buy a better CPU, as yours is below the minimum requirement.

Even that's still below the minimum requirement, but it'll be much better than what you have.

It doesn't help that MK X is terribly optimised for PC.

Look at the start of the video where the menu is visible,it only runs on one single core* that's why it runs so much slower.
There is almost no difference in single core speed between the q9550 and the CPU you have now so it will not help at all(for the menus,game might be faster if the 6950 allows for it)

Only thing you can do is to overclock which will help a little bit or get a newer faster CPU ( +mobo)

I did bother, thanks very much. I don't expect to be insulted by a moderator.

Perhaps the reason why the main menu lags is because it's more CPU-intensive, whereas gameplay is more GPU-intensive. You can't expect a game to run flawlessly when the PC is below the minimum system requirements.

Yup,the game itself spreads the workload over several threads,the menu/videos do not, that's why I told him to pay attention to the beginning of the video where the menu is showing.
