most quiet amd card

looking for a strong quiet amd card if its on sale its a bigger plus i was gonna get a 280x, but im hearing so much crap about the noise. feed back is appreciated guys ;_)

As for quiet, look into Sapphire models of cards, they typically run the coolest which also means quietest. There is no specific card that is quieter, but the lower you go down the tiers the less noise they make.

I wouldnt worry about noise, if you have any kind of headphones with a half decent case, you wont hear them.

The 295x2 is a joke.
970 SLI performs nearly the same, if not better depending on resolution compared to the 295x2, for less. Maxwell cards run cooler, quieter, and scale better than a dual GPU card.

my pricepoint is $260 selling my old 760 and getting a new upgrade,just started looking at team red cards lol had to open my eyes to both players

If you have $260 now and you're going to sell that 760, I'd go for the GTX 970

Right now AMD doesnt have much to offer to compete with the maxwell cards.
In that budget (with the 760 sales) a 970 is the best bet.

lmao guess im in denial. i was gonna get the gtx970 but the sales im seeing made me wanna reconsider, newegg.com hass a 280x for under 230


p.s the pricepoint is $260 because im seeling the gpu i wanna get the best bang for my buck but im gonna consider the 970

The 970 has phenomenal price/performance ratios. Its also ~30% faster than a 280x.
