Hi, I recently build my first computer and am having problems getting it to connect to a monitor. The build is a gigabyte GA-F2A88XN-WIFI mobo with dvi and 2 hdmi ports, a AMD Athlon x2 370k Richland cpu, two 4GB crucial ballistix DDR3 ram, and three fans (two running off the psu and 1 running off the motherboard). When I switch it on everything has power, front and back usb, fans, cpu cooler but no video connection just a black screen. Does anybody have any ideas as what I can do?

Solution
remove one of the rams, if that don't work, replace it with the other. What power supply is it. Does It have the cpu power lead connected. Its not that the motherboard wont connect to monitor its the motherboard that is not posting. It could be the cpu is not seated properly, or unfortunately the motherboard could be faulty !

Hi rub3n5252,
congratz for your new build pc...
1) check out all power outlets connecting mobo 24/4 pin and also power to HDD,
2) check your RAM and try to change the slots... (did you hear beeps without RAM)?
3) connect the monitor with power cable as well as vga cable...(check your monitor with any other pc)...
Regards
