With a GTX 580 and i7 2600K -- no intention to SLI but rather replace the card years down the line -- what is ideal motherboard? With Digital Storm (please don't tell me to build it myself), my choices are this:

ASUS P8P67 (Intel P67 Chipset) (New B3 Revision) (Does Not Support SLI)

ASUS Maximus IV Extreme (Intel P67 Chipset) (New & Improved B3 Revision Without SATA 3G Issue) [+$234]ASUS Maximus IV Extreme (Intel P67 Chipset) (New & Improved B3 Revision Without SATA 3G Issue) [+$234]

I can't recommend Asus mobos based on my 20 years of building high-end PCs as they are RAM sensitive IME and Asus has little to no customer support when issues are discovered or a board fails. The only two mobos that I have had fail in 20 years were two different model Asus mobos and I've used all of the major mobo brands.

I'd recommend Gigabyte mobos for performance and reliability. Many review sites use Gigabyte mobos because of their quality and performance.

Perhaps I should go with Maingear, then. Their case is the same (as Digital Storm) -- although more flashy, with their name on the front.

Which of these for i7/one 580GTX?
