motherboard and ram compatibility

The Corsair Vengeance Pro is very good RAM and it should work....but it is not on your QVL supported list for that motherboard!!!...Here is a list of all RAM supported for your motherboard. The RAM you have chosen is CMW16GX4M2A2666C16 but I do not see it on the list and Ryzen can be very finicky with RAM.

Ryzen performance is directly proportional to RAM speed. Instead of going with flashy lower frequency RAM, its better to go with less flashy(or more if you have the budget) higher speed RAM. The sweet spot is usually 3000/3200mhz.

Usually most DDR4 RAMs are compatible, but only those on the motherboard QVL list are guaranteed to work as they have been tested with the board. But if its not on the QVL that does not mean it wont work. Its just not tested with the board. Only way you can find out is by testing.

thanks very much for your help, you could of saved me a lot of trouble. i have opted for some 3000mhz ram that is on the QVL supported list now.
