Hello, I have a home built desktop pc that I'm working on and recently installed windows xp along with other programs. However, the agp video card has a broken fan on one side of it so it over heats and stops broadcasting video out to the monitor. So I went out and bought a new one but when I plug it into the MB, the computer does not power on whatsoever. I was thinking maybe it was an issue with the IRQ but even if I don't have a card in the pc, it won't turn on. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

Please tell us what exact parts you have, including power supply, which motherboard, graphics card - we need the name and model numbers of all of them.

To me...it sounds like you added a graphics card which your power supply cannot/does not support.

The card I installed is actually I downgrade. It originally had a PNY ATI Radeon 7200 and the one I put in is a GeForce 5200. I am not sure on what the power supply and motherboard are due to the fact that I am away from it at the moment.
