So my motherboard broke due to electricity failure,

This is my build:

What should I do? (I will get €511 from insurance)
- Buy a new motherboard => means new CPU and RAM due to compatibility reasons
- Keep the build as it is and search for a 1150 mobo? Then again where could I find old pc parts...

All my other components have been tested and should be working fine. The only problem is my motherboard, that's beyond repairing.

Would you go for the more future based or for the cheaper option?

Kind regards

so you tested them but you don't know if they will work again?

your CPU is pretty old so it may be difficult to find a replacement motherboard for it. i would first see if your insurance can recover it because an upgrade would require you to at least purchase a new CPU, motherboard, and DDR4 ram

Everything except the mobo works. As for the CPU, which one would you recommend. This pc is used for gaming and streaming.

PS: I have noticed that the newer generations of CPU's have lower clocking speeds, however they are faster than their predecessors. How is this possible?
