Hello:
Can I pull out my e6600 and P5W board and put in a P5B w/ QX6700 just hook up the cables to hard drives and power etc. and keep on trucking? Or do I need to re-install windows XP and all that stuff? The hard drives are 74Gb raptors in raid one.
Thanks Ed

Unfortunately, you can not do that. Your XP setup was configured to work only with your P5W board, i.e in terms of drivers and other stuff.

If you really are going to do that upgrade, send the old parts to me... ...lol :D
I would get good use out of it..... :D :D :D

Hey thanks for the info, I was afraid of that, I have two new 150Gb raptors coming tomorrow, but I don't want to wait on them. I guess I'll just make the changes I need to make and then change it back when I re-build this machine in a new box.
Thanks Ed
