Hello, I have huge problem with my new custom build PC, my motherboard degrades performance of every ram I have installed. No matter on what frequency is ram overclocked, M5A99X EVO 2.0 just turn it to 1333mhz. And if I manually overclocked it to 1866, pc is unstable.
But this is not the main problem. The main problem is the performance. Performance test shows that every ram works on M5A99X EVO 2.0 on half performance. I take example - I have tested 1866mhz Vengance 8GB kit on basic intel MB and than on my AMD MB and the result - 2200 points for intel and 1100 points for my M5A99X EVO 2.0 in module stress test.
I have tried everythong, flashing bios, reinstalling drivers but nothing helps, I have tried several rams but nothing.
My rig : AMD FX 8350
ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0
SAPPHIRE 7970 VAPOR X
CORSAIR GS 800W
WD CAVIAR BLACK

Pls help, every ram is from QVL but its still somethnig like uncompatible, I can feel it on pc, os take time to load and on games there are lots of drops of fps. But M5A99X EVO 2.0 corectly says that ram is 8GB and kit, but it degrades their performance. Test were made on Performance Test 8.0 by PassMark. thx for the answers.

Solution
Its easy to fix this, nothing to do with BIOS. please note that Before u flash the BIOS put the TPU and EPU switches in to OFF state. After that Flash the BIOS and restart the PC and u will see RAMs are in 1333. Shutdown the computer and put the TPU and EPU switches to ON state. Restart the computer and you will see that the CPU is overclocked and RAM is gone to something like 1584. u won't get the 1600 RAM speed because when the CPU gets overclocked the RAM speed will be lowered some little amount. I hope u guys will be happy to here this. I hope that I help u to fix this issue. Asus is a good MB company.
I'm assuming that you have two 4GiB DIMMs. If this is the case, they need to be on opposite channels. They should be installed in the first and third slot, or the second and fourth slot. If they are installed in the first and second slot, or third and fourth slot, then one of the memory channels will be unused.

Consult page 1-10 (section 1.2.4) of your motherboard manual for a visualization.

thaks for answer, I have tried every slots, but nothging, it looks like it works well, or every slots work bad what I doubt, there must be something in the bios. My actual ROM is Kingston HyperX Genesis 1866mhz 8GB kit cl9 KHX1866C9D3K2/8GX

There are several things to set in the BIOS for that memory (KHX1866C9D3K2/8GX)- DDR3-1866 at a low
latency timing of 9-11-9-27 at 1.65V.

The motherboard does not use XMP memory settings so you need to do it manually.

Go to BIOS AI Tweaker Menu.
Change AI Overclock Tuner from [Auto] to [Manual]. (page 3-9 of manual)
Change Memory Frequency from [Auto] to [DDR3-1866MHz]. (page 3-9 of manual)
Go to DRAM TIMING CONTROL (page 3-10 of manual)
Change DRAM CAS# Latency from [Auto] to [9]
next setting RAS# to CAS# delay to [11]
next RAS# to PRE Time to [9]
next RAS# to ACT Time to [27]
Now change the DRAM Voltage to 1.65v (page 3-15 of manual)
Save and Exit BIOS.

Also want to add about 0.10 to your CPU/NB voltage, which should stabilize the sticks and add some to the performance - CPU/NB or CPUVID is the MC (memory controller) voltage - but regardless, you aren't going to touch the scores you get with Intel, AMD is notorious for it's weak MCs....And with 1866, in general, being the upper reaches for AMD performance is strained...even 1600 won't perfform near Intel norms
