The problem I have is that the manufacturer nor the name of my motherboard wouldn't show up at all in the comp settings, dxdiag and device manager. I use Windows 7 64-bit and the rest of my devices such as GPU and RAM show up fine, but only the motherboard. Despite this problem my computer is working properly. BTW I use Asus M4A87TD EVO AMD 870 Chipset.

So I ask, is there anything wrong with this mobo? Or is this comp just bad? If you find a problem, then what should I do about it?

Thanks for your time.

I just took a look at my device manager (Win 7 Pro, Asus Sabertooth 990fx), and I actually can't see my Mobo either. Now, I CAN see my device controllers (RealTek audio devices for my sound, ethernet devices, etc).

I actually don't really ever recall seeing the actual motherboard before in Device Manager. Are we certain that it shows up as "motherboard"?

No... it only generally displays "computer4" and when you open it it will read something like....
ACPI x64 (or 32) -based PC" and then all the other devices beneath it.

If you go through administrator tools in control panel, and go to computer management, and then open the performance button, and then reports, >system>(computer name)> and select your computer you will see everything including the specifics about your mother board.

hope this gives you what you wished to see!

TSG!
