Hi,
When under load, my motherboard emits a buzzing noise. I think it may be either the PCI-E connector or the north bridge. It is not the CPU because when i put the CPU and not the graphics card under load, the noise is not there. But when the GPU is under load, the noise returns. I dont think that it is the PSU, because the noise seems to come from the motherboard, but i could be wrong.
The noise started to happen when about a month ago i installed a new graphics card, (for an unrelated issue) and ever since then the buzzing noise has been happening.
It is also not the new graphics card that i installed because i reverted back to my old gpu and put it under load and it was still making the noise.
PC Specs:
Intel i7 4770 (non overclocked)
16GB 1600MHz DDR3
NVidia GeForce GTX 1080 Founders Edition (the old GPU was a GTX 660)
Corsair CX750M PSU
Gigabyte GA-H81M-S2PV Motherboard
Do you have any ideas if im right about it being either the north bridge or the PCI-E slot, or if there might be any other cause?
(On a side note, i can't switch the position my graphics card is in because the motherboard only has 1 PCI-E slot, or rather it only has 1 slot that my GTX 1080 can fit in)
Any ideas are greatly appreciated.
