Hey all. I am new to building a computer. In fact, I'm going to be building my first gaming computer soon. I just wanted some advice for a motherboard selection. My budget is around $130.

The current models I have looked up are BIOSTAR TA970, ASUS M5A97 LE, or GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3.

I have already ordered a AMD-FX 8350, G.Skill ram and Windows 8.1. I'm sure the items I have already are compatible with the motherboards but please let me know if they are not.

I also plan on having a NZXT Kraken X40 cooling system with the Rosewell Thor v2 case. I am not sure if the motherboards, cooler and case will all fit together.

Thanks for taking the time out to read this. I really appreciate all the help so far on this forum 😀!

You should get the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3, but if you are in USA it is sold out in newegg. Or you can get this ASUS M5A99X Evo R2.0 for $115 after MIR. http://us.ncix.com/products/?usaffiliateid=1000031504&sku=76030&vpn=M5A99X%20EVO%20R2%2E0&manufacture=ASUS&promoid=1115 that MB also is sold out too in newegg.
Because either M5A97 LE R2.0 or BIOSTAR TA970 has the 4pin cpu power plug, that is not good for FX 8 series, also M5A97 LE R2.0 has 4+2 VRMs, TA970 is even lower 4+1 VRMs.

Your case is the full tower that should fit the water cooler well.
