I'm reusing old PC case from early 2000s and it supports ATX, Baby(whatever that is), Mini ATX, and Micro ATX. I am open to any of these layouts. I am interested in doing a water cooled system because air flow in this case seems minimal. Not sure of case brand but was a Optima Pc. The build will be for gaming, and I want the motherboard that will give me the most space for radiator, res. ect. Any suggestions?

Solution
For $50.00 to $100.00 you could get a case which would work to your specs and not have to worry about it. I'm not sure what your case is capable of.
Don't limit yourself based on internal space. Think outside the box, literally. Many people mount their water cooler radiator on the outside. With a little ingenuity you can make it happen. I'd get a quality water cooler first then worry about the set-up later.

I don't really want to mount the radiator on the outside of the case because it would look kind of tacky, so do you think I should rig up the radiator and other cooling stuff first,(this is my first build)

This set up is cheaper, and I think I have enough room, but I was wondering about doing a separate cooling set up, meaning the radiator would sit outside of case on desk, and feed water to the blocks. Does a product like that exist?

Many towers come with large ports in the back for just such a reason. You could also drill your own holes without too much trouble. I think what you're looking for is for us to say this:

1. It's normal to mod your own case.
2. It's not difficult to mod your own case [to an extent].
3. Many people have successfully installed a water cooler with the radiator on the outside of the case.

Don't worry about it bro, a self-contained water cooler is a piece-of-cake to install. They come fully assembled and ready to go. Make sure to buy yourself some quality thermal paste to go along with it. Here a link:

Stop worrying about it, it's not as bad as you think.

Have fun!
