Hi, I am trying to choose the right motherboard for a build in ryzen 2600 or next gen ryzen(I am not sure if they will release another line of motherboard along with them). i currently have chosen
B450 tomahawk or x470 gaming plus - for budget
prime X470 pro - for colour
ROG STRIX X470-F GAMING - for performance
From what i have researched,
B450 Tomahawk is overall one of the best for B450 board.
X470 gaming plus is cheaper but better VRM then prime x470 pro.
Prime x470 get pretty hot and cheaper varient of x470-f gaming
My question is that, how much difference do motherboard make in overclocking?
For pricing, B450 = 130~150$
B450 T + 25 = GamingPlus
Gaming Plus + 50 = Prime Pro
Prime Pro + 50 = x470-f gaming
If i say i value 25$ per 100mhz, what would be the best value board?
I do want good on board sound, but i heard all of them are fine as I am not a audiophile. I will only really need 1 M.2 slot and don't need any more then total of 4 sata ports so those would be fine. I don't plan to SLI/Crossfire too.
Lastly, I believe all of them do have RGB capability so this wouldn't matter but just as a referance, I currently have case with 4 RGB fans, 2x8gb RGB rams and graphic card with rgb lights at the top. This is my first time posting so i am uncertain with hyperlink restrictions.
Thank you.
