Hey all --
I recently decided I should upgrade an aging video card, and decided to pick up the mid-range AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB. I received the card today and immediately went about swapping out my NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB with this new card.
Immediate issue is that I simply cannot get any video output from the card to monitor. From what I can tell, my motherboard (GA-73UM-S2H) is simply not detecting the card at all. My BIOS is set to first look for a card in the PCIE slot, and then use the onboard video if nothing is detecting. Well, the onboard video appears to work fine.
When I boot into Windows, a quick look at my device manager shows that only the onboard video is detected, period. I've even gone through the process of installing the HD 7850's drivers that came on the CD-ROM that shipped with the card in the hopes that magic would happen, but I've still got nothing.
I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions or troubleshooting tips here for this thing.
Some additional info: I have a 600W power supply, which should be enough, and I've certainly supplied power to the new card (the fans are spinning).
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Or, if you're not a cereal killer and live in Massachussetts and would like to come over and get this working for me, beer and pizza is on me.
