Motherboard On Board Sound is enough?

I have an ASUS K8N socket 754 in the computer I finished to build.

Maybe I made a mistake by installing a Creative Audigy Sound Card ever since the mobo comes with onboard sound system.

However I noticed that the Creative Sound Card has a 24 bit Digital Audio and 24 bit Audio Playback versus the onboard sound from ASUS which is only 16 bits.

Should I remove the Sound Card and its driver?...or keep it?

unless your an audiophile you wont be able to tell the difference. i suspect your using crappy speakers (compared to an audiophiles setup) so it doesnt matter to you. if you already have it installed just leave it. makes no difference.

I haven't bought a sound card since I owned a 350Mhtz celeron, and I would consider myself a hardcore gamer and listen to a lot of MP3z. Unless you're doing some in-depth audio shiznit like editting and stuff, I would just stick with onboard and never look back.

If you're a gamer you will take a CPU performance hit if you use onbard sound. I say if you have a soundcard inside, use it and save those cycles.
