Question Motherboard overheating

Hey everyone,
I'm having an issue with my newly assembled PC. Some games (Remnant 2 and Dead Space 3) are experiencing constant stuttering. The stutters last for about 3-5 seconds. Usually, the stuttering only affects the video, but there have been instances where it affected the audio and caused it to loop. There's also been stuttering during non-gaming use, while I'm browsing the internet, for instance, though it does not happen very often.

It seems to be related to motherboard overheating, but I can't be sure. Here are the maximum temperatures reported by HWInfo and CPUID monitors for the motherboard during the last hour I've been playing:

HWInfo
Temp 1: 100°C (max)
Temp 2: 49 °C (max)
Temp 3: 71°C (max)

CPUID
THRM 1: 70°C (max)
TMPIN0 2: 98°C (max)
TMPIN1: 49°C (max)
TMPIN2: 93°C (max)

Do you have any suggestions for tests I can perform to determine the root cause of this problem? Thanks in advance.

My specs are:
Motherboard BIOSTAR Group / A520MH 3.0
CPU AMD Ryzen 5 5600 6-Core Processor
CPU Cooler Air Cooler Rise Mode Gamer G700, 180mm, RM-AC-O7-FB
Memory (2x) RAM Rise Mode Z, 16GB, 3200MHz, DDR4, CL16Storage
Kingston SNV2S1000G Video Card NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060
Power Supply XPG Pylon, 650W, 80 Plus Bronze - PYLON650B-BKCBR
Microsoft Windows 10 Pro

EDIT 1: BTW, the CPU and GPU temperatures are aparently fine: CPU 42-59°C and GPU 46-65°C (hotspot).

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

You might want to see if aiming a fan at the motherboard's VRM area and chip help alleviate the issue. What BIOS version are you on for your motherboard? Ambient room air temps? Make and model of your case and the number and orientation of fans in yoru case?

Thank you very much, old-timer! =)Well, that really did the trick. The fan alleviated the motherboard overheating, and the stuttering stopped. I played games for over 3 hours yesterday, and it ran fine. But there's one thing I failed to mention before: this is the 2nd motherboard (of the same model, Biostar A520MH 3.0) with the same issue.

I bought and tried this motherboard last month, and it exhibited the mentioned issues. I contacted the seller's support, and they replaced it with a new one of the same model. However, the new one has the same issue. So, I guess it's a manufacturing defect, or I'm just a very lucky person. I've just contacted support again to ask for a refund so I can purchase a motherboard from another brand.

Thanks again for your help, Lutfij
