Question Motherboard question.

I've had a problem with my new build it gave no signal. I got a compatable ram as advised by tech support. I have a gigabyte b450m ds3h. I have a new motherboard coming as old one they think may be faulty. Can I get this motherboard to post with just cpu and ram or do I need gpu in it ?

What CPU do you have?

Ryzen CPUs with -G (Ex: Ryzen 3 2200G) at the end will boot without a GPU.
If your CPU does not have a -g (Ex: Ryzen 5 3600 or 2700x) at the end, it will need a GPU to boot.

What are your full specs?

If you have a CPU with Integrated video, you don't need a video card. Otherwise, you do. Also, depending on what CPU you have, you may have to update the BIOS for support for that CPU. Some people buy an older, cheaper CPU for this purpose. Here is the support list for that board, if you haven't looked at it yet:

Graphics card : zotac 1060ti
Psu: Corsair cx750m
Case: nzxt h500i
Ram: 2x 8gb gskill aegis 8gb which I replaced for 2 8gb vengeance ram which was officially supported by gigabyte.
Ssd
HDD
Cpu: ryzen 5 2600
All cable connected.
Went through troubleshoot checklist to no avail.

No signal to HDMI
No power to usb.
Powers up correctly. GPU spinning, fans spinning.
Cpu fan spinning, chip seated correctly.

Used a different HDMI, still no signal.

Breadboarded it, with just gpu ram and cpu. Still not post or bios or even a signal on monitor. Any idea what it could be ?

Did you plug your monitor into GPU?

A dead motherboard can indeed cause issues like this.

Yeah I tried HDMI and dvi both no signal. Computer is powered leds are all lit and all components are powered and spinning. Even Mobo has lights on it powered on. But no post or any signal to screen.
