On MSI motherboards, they advertise the rgb headers as 4 pin rgb led connectors and 3-pin RAINBOW LED connectors. I am just clarifying if anyone knows if the 3-pin RAINBOW LED connectors are the same thing as normal 3 pin argb 5v headers or if they are something different and the motherboard I am looking at doesn't have Argb headers. The motherboard is the MSI B550 Gaming Plus, and I will leave a link to the product page below.

Solution
The motherboard manual (found on the manufacturers web page) specifies the voltages for JRGB1 (RGB LED connector) and JRAINBOW 1-2 (addressable RGB LED connectors) on pages 39 and 40.
ARGB means Addressble RGB.

I have been looking at the same thing as you on other MB and what i have concluded is that it is 5v 3 pin for ARGB/DRGB. But dont QUOTE me on that.

I just wish the specifications on the manufactors homepage would be a litle more noob friendly.
Like they could have just wrote ARGB 5v 3 pin and not just 3 pin RAINBOW LED.

It is amazing how ther are so much standardise thing in computers but thay cant see to find a standard name for the ARGB header
