Motherboard Shows "A2" error

Whenever I go to boot, I get the a2 error. It shows for a second and then continues as normal. I have a MSI Z92S Krait edition motherboard. I recently replaced my boot drive as it recently died, it too showed the a2 error code and then moved on into normal booting procedure prior to dying. What could be causing this and is it reason for concern?

I can't answer you for sure. But I looked at some discussions of A2, and it seems to be 1) common, and 2) ide detect. So maybe your board is just indicating that, at that point in time, it's doing IDE detect, and not actually an error. Just a status.
