noted i then the gaming 5 is better well i was planning on choosing th gaming 5 anyways everyones telling me to go with the ASUS z97-AR or the Asus z97 A

Both the Gaming 5 and Z97 A/AR (A and AR are technically the same board with different color schemes) are great boards, I'd go with the cheaper one.

If you're not planning to overclock, you can safely go with the cheapest SLI capable board sans MSI SLI Krait, all others are good quality wise.

well im also looking for performance and the krait has horrible performance since the link i saw the msi gaming 5 is the better one when it comes to frames ive used gigabyte also before so its a hard choice to make its gunna be gigabyte asrock asus or msi im gunna choose from i just want a board that ill get a good performance with if u can find me something that the i7 will get good performace id gladly thank u

All boards other than SLI Krait will provide similar performance, for some reason the only board to drop considerably is the MSI SLI Krait. Go with the cheapest except the Krait.

Extreme3 is a good board for the price, it's 2 way SLI capable. I'd get either Z97X SLI or Z97 EXTREME3, whichever is the cheaper.

extreme 3 is cheaper cuz its 74.99 with the cpu instead of 114.99 plus ill get 15 dollars back and ill also get 10 back from the msi 970 so for 750 im getting the cpu board and gpu basicly im paying 725 with the mail and rebate

i need to choose one please help me make the right decision for the i7 and the right graphics card to pair with it for the gpu i dont wanna spend no more then 300

I'm lucky enough to have a Microcenter in my city as well. I would recommend spending a tad bit more money on the Asus A rather than the AR, or the ASRock Z97 KillerX over the regular Killer (no SLI). The Asus A has three digital video ports and is a higher reviewed board. The regular Killer is a no go for obvious reasons.

Like MeteorsRising said the Krait is very overrated only due to its rare color scheme. The board is actually kinda bare bones compared to the MSI Gaming 5 for just a few more bucks.

well yeh i know thats what im saying u know i might go with the gigabyte z97mx or the asus z97 a msi 5 or the gigabyte gaming 3 or 5 i think when the day comes ill order it which is this saturday microcenter got some good deals on bundles

do some research and found that the asrock z97 extreme 4 and msi gaming 5 have been chosen as the top z97 motherboards out there chosen for this month so i got my answer

ASRock Extreme4 is probably the best bang for buck in this price range. Has dual Bios that the Gaming 5 lacks among other extra goodies. A great choice.
