Hi all!! I have a major problem. I had a gigabyte a320m-s2h with an AMD athlon amd athlon x4 950. I decided to update the board to an A520M S2H while keeping the original CPU. Anyway after hooking up the new board I tried to power it on but absolutely nothing is happening. In a panic I decided to replace the board with the original but now that won't turn on either. I thought it might be a problem with the power supply. I have a led keyboard which lights on but besides that I'm getting nothing.
Has anyone got any possible solutions?

It literally just occurred to me I may have the power switch on the wrong jumpers. I can't find a diagram for the A520M S2H.

Thanks --SID-- and SkyNetRising, your advice was very helpful. Out of curiosity what's the cheapest CPU for the new board I really only need it for day to day use on Linux. Oh on a side note i took the PSU out and shorted the pins for ps on and ground. Absolutely nothing. Strange as it may sound it's a relief.

thanks again SkyNetRising. It's good that the open community has people like you. I've ordered the relevant components. I'll keep you posted on how i get on.

oh i meant to ask you if flashing the bios is difficult ? I'm sorry for all the questions . I'm fine with software but I'm a bit weak when it comes to hardware.

the good news is you have q flash which is lucky because if you didnt youd have to get a older cpu.

usb and another working pc to do the following in video below. preferable with nothing inside it

q flash should be in your motherboard manual.
