I'm gonna be building my first pc, a gaming/video editing setup. I'm planning on getting an Intel i7-4790k and a Nvidia GTX 970. I suppose I'll probably want to OC a little. So i have a couple of questions; what price range/brand of motherboard would work well? I don't want to spend a whole lot, but using an $80 motherboard with an i7 and a 970 seems like it might not be a good idea, although since I wouldn't be going crazy with overclocking or using an SLI I honestly have no idea... Also the eXtreme website said i would need around a 350 watt PSU, whats a good price range and brand for that? As you can see I'm a little noobish, but thanks for helping 😀

You'll want a motherboard with the Z97 chipset, if you want to do overclocking. Performance-wise, all the Z97 boards are about the same, so pick the one with the features you want that's also in your budget.

Probably a 450W Seasonic G-Series, XFX XTR Pro 550W, or similar? The EVGA SuperNova NEX G2 750W is excellent but somewhat overkill capacity-wise, but...
