Motherboards & SSD's

I am trying to learn what it takes for a motherboard to be compatible with
a SSD? I googled a bit, but only found other people asking on forums. This
is the motherboard I am using:

What is it that tells me whether or not this board is compatible?

Sure SSD's are compatible with that board (and ANY board with a SATA III 6Gb/s port, honestly. Really, SSD's will still work on any SATA port, just bottlenecked by the loss of bandwidth from SATA I and II ports).

You're TOTALLY safe with that board though because of the 2 SATA III ports it has.

There ARE specific SATA III 6Gb/s cables, but they should have come with the mobo (at least one). If not, one will probably come with the SSD.
