Hwo do I determine whether a motherboard is an ATX or BTX based on the CPU's location in relation to the expansion slots?

on BTX the cpu is closer to the front of the motherbd and the dimm slots are near the top. BTX is designed to fit on the left side of the case as opposed to ATX being on the right (as you look at the front of the case) but I have seen some cases that allow both
