Question Mouse and keyboard latency acter few hours of gameplay (no fps drop/internet issues)

The mouse and keyboard are low-tier off brand ones but this specific problem is recent and they only start feeling lag-y and start delaying after 2 or so hours of gameplay. I think this started to happen after I installed a 500gb HDD from my previous PC.
Any solutions???

I do use it to game and for storage. I have another 225gb SSD i keep it for windows
