Mouse Auto Clicking when pointed on a folder after some time

My Desktop USB mouse started showing an awful behaviour in last few days. When ever I pointed it to an object like Folders or an application, it'll automatically select it. While typing too when the mouse pointer is lying between the words already typed, then after some time with out our knowledge we'll be typing on that area where the cursor is there. It's a bit annoying for me as I can't keep the cursor of the mouse on a folder or any applications as it may automatically select it and run it. Please help me solve the problem.

I am using windows 8.1 Pro

Typically this is a sign of a failing mouse. Probably time to replace it.

Have you thought about getting a new Mouse?

Not until now, So it's time to buy another one
