Mouse help...please

I have an MS explorer and want to get another smaller optical mouse as well...the explorer is in usb port. I want to have two mice plugged in all the time... will doing this affect the the preformance of the mice? DAo I need to unplug the one that im not using ...I have heard somewhere that the preformance of the mice drops if both are plugged in..help..thanks.

Just run down and pick up a powered USB hub from a local store ... Wal-Mart sells them, and the price is reasonable. Plug both mice into the hub, and there won't be any performance issues.
