Mouse Peripheral Problem

Hi everyone,

Basically my mice peripherals don't track as well as they should do, I have found that in safe mode they work fine.

What could be the cause of this problem? could it be some kind of software issue, or a component problem.

It's not a hardware problem because if it was, Safe Mode would have the same issue.

The most likely cause is a bad third-party driver or some third-party software which installs virtual drivers (eg firewall, antivirus or even CD/DVD burning software. None of these drivers are loaded in Safe Mode, hence the problem doesn't occur.

If you can recall installing anything like that just before the problem was first noticed, that's what you need to uninstall.
