This is my first time posting here but last year I bought a prebuilt HP Omen and was going to upgrade the case to a Lian Li o11 Dynamic XL. I bought a cheap set of upHere fans hoping to be able to adjust the rgb, but it turns out my mobo doesn't have an rgb header. I don't know if it would be worth it to buy a new set of fans or just buy a better mobo so I don't run into issues like this in the future?

Missed that 24pin there, yes that means that the psu would work with another motherboard. Myself would upgrade it , it is probably not the best of psu's. Then again, if it can power that 2070 without issues should you be fine , at least within it's warranty period.
Hi, welcome.

Depends how much you like rgb .... so is kinda a decision you will have to make. The "Uphere" fans have no remote that comes with them ? Some of those makers have fans that come with remote, might be an option too. Otherwise is is a new board probably the thing to do.

Maybe post a picture of the motherboard, maybe we can look if a header is present.

You can use Imgur to post a picture here, use the "img" link.
Click "new post" ->choose "upload images" -> "browse" ->choose the picture and click "open" ->put cursor on the picture that you uploaded->choose "share links" and copy the img link, paste it in your next post.

IMHO, purchasing a new motherboard just for RGB is insane. Just my humble opinion. Also a new motherboard, with presumably a different chipset, will likely require a new Windows license and a fresh Windows installation.

Here's my pc. My mobo only has two fan headers so I'm curious if buying a newer one with more slots/ headers will be useful in the long run. My cpu is an i7 9700 non k and my gpu is a 2070 super.

Can't see that daughterboard on the lower right well, might be a board where rgb might have a header.

Is one stripped down board, if you would replace that would you need a better and normal atx psu as well. This motherboard doesn't even have a 24pin connector.

The cpu and gpu are nice parts, could you just keep. With a new board and better vrm, possibly better cooler, might the cpu also maybe do turbo better. What is the max clock it runs?

download hwinfo64,
install and open it,
check "sensors-only",
click "run".
