Hello guys,

First of all, I didn't know where should I post this thread. So, if this thread was posted in the wrong category, please move it to the right one.

I upgraded my laptop from HDD (original Drive) to new SSD. I have the recovery partition in the HDD. I want to move, copy, or transfer this partition to the new SSD.

I have tried the windows way to create recovery partition and it was lossless.

Is there a 100 % way to do that?

Solution
1) You don't need a recovery partition for 8 or 10, it only resets your OS to a clean install anyway. Just use the media creation tool and make yourself a recovery USB or DVD
2) You should always do a clean install when upgrading from HDD to SSD
3) If you have a disk cloning software it should work just fine, though you will need to make some adjustments to partition sizes.
