alright i have noticed a severe drop in frames during almost any of my games when i use my mouse to move the cursor around or to move the screen around with it but when i dont use the mouse my frames actually stay 70-100
i have tred several fixed including a MarkC acceleration fix thing and several other things and i just can't fix it

i can move around with aswd no problem my pc doesnt overheat at all and i can run the game no problem at max but i even turned it all down to low but if i just move the mouse around i go to single digit frames but if i just move around with aswd i dont lag at all even on maxed so when moving the mouse or clicking and holding it down to pan the camera i lag intesly this has only recently started to happen and i have yet to find a fix for this and have seen else where of people haveing it happen to them i think it may be due to my mouse being set to 250hz some said to lower it to 125hz but this mouse doesnt have that setting and im not sure how to do it any other way

Hey,

I can only imagine it's related to your mouse drivers. What mouse are you using? If you have installed some drivers for it get rid of them and let windows install just the normal generic drivers and see if this helps. But after uninstalling the drivers make sure you manually delete the installation folder because Windows often fails to remove them completely.

Mouldread i just did that and it gave me 5min of clarity and then it starts up again is there anything else i could try im getting a new mouse tomorrow to see if that might help and the mouse im using is a anchor 5000dpi mouse

Hey,

I'm not too sure. It's a bit confusing why after the initial "fix" it starts acting up a few minutes later. It's starting to sound like maybe your CPU or GPU are overheating.

You could download and install http://www.hwinfo.com/download.php and then run it with a tick on Sensors Only. Start one of the games that is giving you problems and run it for about 10 min. You could then exit the game and take a look at the readings for the CPU and GPU max temperatures. You could tell us what these temps are if you can't determine yourself whether they are too high or not.

I'm only asking you to do so because in general if some game starts working well initially and in a few minutes the FPS drops it's usually caused by the CPU or GPU throttling their speeds down due to excess heat; they are doing that so their temps can drop but of course it leads to decreased performance.

P.S. Of course this is only a speculative reason for the stuttering you are getting. I'm still more inclined to think it's caused by the mouse/mouse drivers.

ill go ahead and try it but i can let you know my cpu temp does go up between 48C and 58C at most and only 58C when i'm either in a very hot room while moving the mouse around in the game causeing the lag most of the time it sits between 48-52 but i'll check the GPU temp in just a min

side note it only lags when i move the mouse my game never lags when just using aswd if that helps at all

Yeah... I thought so.

It's very frustrating when you are in situation like this. I've had big issue with a keyboard before - Razer Lycosa - horrible drivers made me wanna pull my hair out. Since I got rid of the drivers I never had anymore issues. But it took me ages to find out what was causing the problems.

Have you tried googling for the model mouse you have to see if others have had similar issues? You never know what you may find online :)

Hm.. I found a very interesting article.

Go to your task manager (Ctrl+Alt+Del and select Task Manager from the list) and put a tick on "Show Processes from all Users" and see if you can find a process called stij.exe It's some malware that can be overlooked when installing certain programs (you know those bloatware programs they install you if you just press Next, Next when you install something) that according to some people on Steam forums has caused lag in games when moving their mouse.

If you do have this process running we'll have to find a way to get rid of it once and for all. My guess is Malwarebytes should be able to deal with it.

Worth a try :)
