The "plugin.click_to_play" flag is already in FF 11 but not enabled by default. I would prefer to have this feature built into FF without the need to install any 3rd party add-ons like adblock, flashblock or noscript.

It will be interesting to see what happens to web advertising if this becomes a standard feature in most major browsers (which it undoubtedly will). I like the idea that if given the choice, consumers will completely avoid advertisements wherever possible. It really makes one wonder why companies bother trying to advertise in a way that is almost universally annoying to the viewer.

For all those that are annoyed...unfortunately the advertising works for a large section of the audience. Its kinda scary.

[citation][nom]daglesj[/nom]So what happens to the guys from Adblock/Noscript?I hope they are being taken on-board by Mozilla.[/citation]

Adblock and NoScript are not just for blocking Flash advertisements, so nothing will happen to them. Besides that, there are multiple add-ons with Adblock in their name and they aren't all made by the same guys, so that would be a lot of people then getting taken on-board.
