Hi, sorry if this is a commonly asked question, no idea at all if it is. So i've been copying and pasting mp4 files from my android to my computer with no problem until just now. Every single video file supposedly is between 9 to 17GB large, though it doesn't add up as they wouldn't have been able to be pasted in the first place. Yet when i try to move them to an external hard disk, i get the insufficient memory error message. What can i do from here to restore them to their original size, and is using a compressor app advisable?

i tried a compressor app and it says file size is 0 bytes. what sort of error could this possibly be? i'm absolutely pissed off with what has happened, how does this even happen? All my important videos are gone! does data corruption happen with particular components in the PC or can it happen to just anyone any time the sum of files cut and pasted exceeds 4GB( according to one other thread in another forum)?
