So, my drive was causing a chkdsk on every startup (and finding errors) and sometimes courrption was reported within Windows. I formatted, reinstalled, and MPIO.sys was missing on first boot. I tried this several times more, and did things like deleting and rebuilding the partition table and zeroing the whole drive overnight. Still didn't work.
Also, the file system shows as "Not Clean" In Ubuntu when it's on NTFS, but clean/fine when it's on anything else such as XFS or EXT4. Teh drive is 1tb.
Anyone got any ideas? (The drive still stores data fine)
