On my Windows xp professional sp2 i went into msconfig and deleted some start
up item. Restarted computer. And, now everytime i restart comuter the
MSCONFIG message box keeps coming up telling me i am in diagnose mode. I
check the box that says never show again but it keeps coming up...

Is ther any one else having this issue.

Msconfig does NOT allow you to delete any of the startup items. All it
will do is let you disable them. Disabling an item is NOT the same as
deleting it. If you want to delete the item, you will have to enable it
in msconfig (so the item is in its normal location) and then delete the
item from wherever is its normal location (msconfig shows you that). On
each restart, you get prompted to remind you that you altered the normal
startup suite of programs. You did not look very carefully at that
popup. Look again at that popup. There is an option to not show you
that popup again (until you use msconfig to disable something else).

Be glad it does pop-up every time, it's supposed to. You have un-checked
certain items in the MsConfig and since the restart it reminds you of it. So
go back to the MsConfig and check the un-check boxes or delete the
un-checked software from your PC if you are happy with it. Some of it could
be 'un-run' by deleting it from the Windows Registry Key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>Software>Microsoft>Windows>CurrentVersion>Run. Write down
the programs that you don't want to run at startup and delete them here.
It's tricky to fool around the Registry, if you are not sure how to do it;
don't and live with the message box.
Opa.
