MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III or MSI 560 ti Hawk

I'm trying to decide between the MSI 6950 Twin Frozr III and the MSI 560 ti Hawk. Both have the same cooling and are almost the same price the 560 is now 10 bucks cheaper on newegg. I rather have Batman game that comes with the 560 but that won't be my deciding factor. I initially was set on the 6950 but seeing how far OC the Hawk 560 was I started to consider that.

They're extremely close but I believe the 6950 is the slightly stronger card.

Aren't the 448 core cards a limited edition thing and not going to be in great supply? I was thinking of that but then I also thought what happens if I can't get another on in a year to SLI.

To answer your question, I have no idea if it is a limited edition thing. It might, because in a couple of months, the Nvidia 600 series and AMD 7000 series will be releasing in a couple of months, additionally they will probably be pricey on launch as always.

I was actually going to buy the Asus GTX 570 Direct CU II. But now I think I'll wait for the GTX 560 Ti 448 core. I think Asus will install the Direct CU II on the new GTX 560 Ti 448 core, the triple slot one, not the dual slot. (I might be wrong though)

If you have any plans to play the Batman: Arkham games, then you absolutely must get the GTX 560 Ti Hawk in order to enable PhysX in those games (and others).

The Hawk is clocked at 950 mhz, which is one of the fastest factory overclocks available. Overall, it's probably the best GTX 560 Ti on the market.

As another one of the swarm (suckers?) waiting eagerly for the 448 core 560 TI to come out, I've got to wonder; how many people are ALSO waiting for this architecture to come out and how long until we actually see cards for the architecture? Is just the base architecture being unveiled on the 29th and THEN the companies will come in with their aftermarket coolers and overclocking tweaks or will they (ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte, Zotac, etc.) just dump their stock of 560 TI 448 cores on the market that same day? It seems like it would be suicidal for them from a company perspective, if they wanted any of this potential market at all, and assuming there are a LOT of people waiting for these freaking cards to come out, NOT to release them on the 29th because that is when everyone will be searching for them and what we have all been led to believe will happen.

This is such a weird product launch, who is with me on this?
