MSI 970 motherboard with Asus R7 250

Hi there,
I am a complete novice when it comes to PC building .. I dared to build a PC with MSi 970 Motherboard with R7 250 GPU... but when turn the computer on ... nothing comes on the screen and the fan on the GPU does not move..
any help will be appreciated..

Do you have both the 24 pin and the 4/8 pin power connectors plugged into the mobo from the PSU?

Make sure all the power cables are plugged in correctly and tight. Especially the 4 or 8 pin CPU power connector. And the power to the graphics card too.
