I downloaded MSI afterburner and I opened it up and my pc got a nasty blue screen before it opened saying something like Driver thread those are the only 2 words I remember and now I cannot get windows to boot back up

shut system off and unplug ac from wall then press power button to drain left over power open the side of the case touch it to ground yourself to avoid static after look at the board there is a little button battery remove her for 1 min but do not touch both side of it then put her back put case panel back plug in ac and press strart .

eh idk about this option ill do that if nothing else works id rather reinstall windows than risk breaking something

what about the reset my pc option on advanced recovery do you think that will work

alright im restarting

Update: Got to desktop just fine but at the toolbar It says amd driver stopped working and has been recovered successfully.
So im thinking this is a driver issue in the whole scheme of things

I have a club 3d r9 270 as my gpu

OK... I am going to guide you into how to uninstall those video drivers, and then get the latest ones to install again.

Power down. Then power back up, and hold the F8 key down until you get to the Safe Mode menu. At that menu select Safe Mode with Networking. Now uninstall all of the AMD video driver and Catalyst items. When done restart the system, and go back into Safe Mode the same way as last time. Now go to:

http://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download

and download CCleaner ( the free version), and run the registry cleanup part. When thats done, go to:

http://support.amd.com/en-us/download

and download the latest drivers. It should be version 15.7. Install that driver while still in Safe Mode. Once the AMD drivers are installed, restart your system, and lets see what happens this time.

the auto update driver put me at 15.2 from 6/22/15

Still getting some issues just not major ones.
Sometimes my screen will just go white and crash no error message or anything it just goes all white usually while browsing the web.

I left it on all night and woke up with it still playing my video I was watching so im not sure whats causing the white screen it never happens while im playing games usually while just casually browsing the web

but I can get to Desktop fine after restarting so thats a relief

Edit: I noticed the white screen crashes appear soon after switching from Hdmi 1 to 2 not sure if its a coincidence or not but everytime ive gotten the white screen its been soon after switching
