Msi afterburner isn’t working

I am running msi afternburner with msi laptop and nvidia gtx 1070. After trying and downloading both versions I cant get them to work. I can’t control the fan speed or power which I think I have to go to settings and restart for power control. But the fan deal is bugging me, I try clicking the auto button but it doesn’t register at all, it’s like it’s not there. Also when I launch it it shows 450mhz on core for about 10s then it just goes blank to 0 on everything even temp. Then it comes back a minute later for 10s again. Please help me

This is the 4.6.0 one correct? I tried this and the 4.5

but if you are using laptop. even it is msi. sometimes Manufacturer Restrict you to not to overclock..
So in this case It will not control Speed of fan and GPU clocks

So since I have a laptop I can’t adjust fan or overlock speeds most likely?

Yeah since the cooling solution on a laptop does not give room for higher thermals... the cooling of the gpu is barely enough on a laptop and it would more likely throttle before you get any performance increase.
