Hi,

I bought a couple years ago a MSI b150i gaming pro ac motherboard.
https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B150I-GAMING-PRO-AC.html

I use it with an
  • Intel Core i5-6600,
  • NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and
  • 2x 8GB DDR4 2133 DIMM
worked quite fine so far.

My CPU is now the bottle neck for various games, and I want to upgrade it.
I know, I need socket FCLGA1151.
Can I use an Intel CORE i9-9900k? or i7-9700?
https://ark.intel.com/content/www/u...-9700-processor-12m-cache-up-to-4-70-ghz.html
Are these CPUs supported?
According to the msi webside, they support it only till i7-7700?!?! but not sure, if they just discontinued to document it...

If not, what would be the latest supported one? Just the i7-7700 - then I think, it's not worth it to spend 300$....

Would I benefit from 2x 8GB DDR4 3200? or is 2133 the limit?
Would make a change to 2x 16GB more sense, but stick to the 2133MHz...?

Further, would I need to download and update something in order to get it working,
or should it be a 'plug n play' exchange?

I had really good experience so far with it, and don't want to destroy anything :-D
Thank you so much for your help! br, Mike

so, that means, it's limited by i7-7700.

mostly gaming.... no streaming.
CoD warzone worked quite good, but now with some other roleplay games it lags (assassins creed,...)
the 4 cores run on 100% while gpu chills at like 60%
