Hello,

I have an MSI B550 Gaming Plus board. 3 weeks ago I replaced the Ryzen 5 5600 with the Ryzen 5700X. Everything seems to be working great. The problem is that since then, sometimes when I turn on my computer, my Internet (Cat. 5e cable) instead of working at 300 Mb/s, works at 10 Mb/s. Restarting the router fixes the problem. But it wasn't there before. When replacing the processor, I turned off the power strip (it also powers the monitor and speakers), I didn't pull out the Ethernet cable or anything else. Maybe that's the problem?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

No, removing the Ethernet cable wouldn't have been necessary. When you swapped processors, were you met with any fTPM notice after the POST process? As in were you asked to reset fTPM?

I have an MSI B550 Gaming Plus board
BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time?

I have BIOS 7C56v1I, there were no messages, it took a little longer to first start (but that's normal for AMD, memory detection). I have the latest Realtek drivers from MSI website. OS Windows 11.

I just had to provide a new pin to log into the system.

"removing the Ethernet cable would not be necessary." - I think so too, I don't have PoE. Internet slowdowns happen sporadically, speedtest on the phone shows the correct speed. Router is ASUS AX-55.

From what I know, internet cables have low voltage, around 2.5V, and the ethernet socket diodes go out when the computer is turned off.
