Hi Guys, please help me out.

I did the PC build few days ago and realised the RAM slots (DDR4) , the A1 slot isn't working at all, which made me believe that one of the slots is faulty and the motherboard is showing the red and orange LED indicator (DRAM).

However, just to be sure, I have also shown to the computer technician and it was proven that the motherboard slot (A1) the first slot, is a faulty one(which is near the fan), only one of the slots isn’t working and the RAMs are perfectly fine, as if I swap the RAM to slot, b1, it works perfectly fine, so it rules out the issue of RAM.

I purchased the motherboard between 10-13th July 2024.

On further investigation, I checked the PIN from the chipset are bent (mostly the earthing pins).
I went to the service centre too and for now, they have took some picture of the motherboard and returned me the board.

Will I be able to claim the warranty ? and get it replaced ?

If not, as it is a new build, shall I get it repaired from MSI, as my plan is to upgrade this machine with a graphic card and use it for around 5-6 years more.
So I was thinking to sell this Motherboard (after the MSI repairs it, if not replaced).

Let me know your thoughts are suggestions, The reason, I'm planning to purchase a new one is being, as this is my new build, so I want to be sure and happy that everything is working fine and not faulty .

Motherboard: MSI Bomber, DDR4 with wifi.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Is this the motherboard you're working with at this moment of time:

?

If the pins were bent or broken out of the box/from the factory then you're honored warranty/RMA. If you bent the pins while installing/dropping the CPU onto the socket then the warranty is void due to user error.

Just sharing my opinion though, you shouldn't dump your problems onto another person, that is, you shouldn't sell the board in spite of knowing it was needing repair due to your mishap.

This is my motherboard: https://in.msi.com/Motherboard/B760M-BOMBER-WIFI-DDR4/Specification

I guess the pins were bent since the beginning, there's no way, I can damage this :) when I installed a intel processor, as there's no other way around to fit the CPU, as it goes only one way.
