Is this monitor good ? I'm looking at its specs and It seems decent enough for gaming and some movies. No real editing or anything maybe some entry level graphical drawing. I also heard its based on an hkc panel. Is the brand hkc good ?

Yes, this monitor is quite decent for what it is.

It's IPS, which means good colour. Fast response time, and no ghosting, which you can get with VA type panels.

HKC make panels for lots of monitors/brands. They are pretty good. They provide a lot of panels for Samsung gaming monitors, among other Chinese panel manufacturers.
