msi gtx 770 lag spikes

I have had this computer for 3 months and i have been trying to fix it it was a prebuilt from cyber power for example it will go from 100 fps in lol to 30-40 for a few seconds and this happens to some extent in every game i make sure to update my drivers as soon as they come out. please help

cx600 600w power supply
and for the motherboard gigabyte 970a-ds3p

Hmm... Are you sure there is no such form of a virus or malware running in the background that could be the cause of these sudden slowdowns?

Same on mid lane once in a team fight it dipped me to 40fps for a sec

What are your max CPU and GPU temps as reported by HWmonitor while in game?

cpu is about 50
gpu is about 55

Is your RAM running at the frequency, timings and voltage as rated by Corsair for your kit?
Overheating isn't the issue here.

no idea what that means lol. i have an idea of what it can be i have a 600w bronze certified psu and that is the minimum for the 770 that problem is that my cpu is overclocked and my gpu is overclocked could that be it?

Yes! Very possible. Run your GPU and CPU at stock speeds and see if the issues persist.

Go into your BIOS and remove your OC by setting everything to auto.
If you don't know how to do this, reset your CMOS but unplugging the power cable from the PSU, grounding yourself, taking out the battery in the motherboard and putting it back it.
Remove the OC on the GPU using whatever you used to OC it in the first place.

You'll be able to OC as much as your components will allow you to.

hmm im not sure cyberpower sent me the computer overclocked (btw thanks ill get that psu instead)

Don't worry about removing the OC then, just wait until you get that PSU.

Did this work i have the same thing with my 770 and i have an overclock cpu. I also use the CX600 So would love to know if an upgrade helped you out.

i dont know yet the psu that got was doe so i have to wait a bit longer
