Hello everyone,
I have a MSI laptop with an Intel Core i7 7700HQ. About 2 weeks ago, the performance started to rapidly decrease. I checked the temperature of each Core and they are averaging about 98°C in IDLE state.

Is there a way to cool my laptop or what can I do to decrease CPU & GPU temperature?

Also, I have my laptop in a vertical position, its like in a laptop stand. Does that matter? maybe its the reason for increased heat on the CPU.

Pop it open and re thermal past the CPU and GPU. If its like my MSI laptop there are 4-5 screws on the back you take out and the back panel comes off.

I redid my thermal past 2 days after i bought it brand new, havent had any issues with it and ive had it for 8 years now. Only replaced it because I wanted something lighter.
