Question MSI MAG B460M Mortar WiFi - RAM Compatibility

So I'm going to upgrade to an i5-10400F 2.9Ghz, nothing serious, just a small upgrade from my old i3-7100...
Together with the MSI MAG B460M Mortar WiFi.
My current rig runs on 16Gigs of ram from G.Skill (F4-2400C17D-16GIS )
So in the MSI page about the Ram compatibility i searched the ram code that I currently have but didn't show up, not only until i removed the (D-16GIS)
There is the exact same ram but with (F4-2400C17S-16GIS) what is the difference with that S at the "C17S" and the "C17D" that I currently have?
I'm I going to run into compatibility problems? It's been a while since I made my last build so I'm kinda lost.
Not having a big problem buying another ram kit, but for real, it's a waste, since I already have another 8gigs(4+4) laying around, though i make my old pc (the one I currently have) a second pc for my other family members.
Any help is appreciated. So I can get that fear out of my mind...

S is single

D is double or dual

Don't know what practical effect that might have in your case.

What does single and double-sided Memory (RAM) mean and how does it impact performance? Is it the same as Memory Ranks?
