I'm upgrading to an i5-9600k ( still have the old CPU installed to flash the bios) . I'm using a MSI B-360APro Motherboard. I have to flash a new bios firmware in order to use a 9th gen intel CPU. I have downloaded the file from MSI's website and put it in the root directory of my Flash drive. When I go into M flash it doesn't show up. The flash drive is formatted FAT32 etc etc etc.

There are some pics to see the file on the root directory etc...

Solution
I would try a different flash drive then (8GB or smaller if possible).
Or possibly rename the BIOS file to BIOS.ROM and see if that gets recognized.

The BIOS comes in a .zip file which needs to be extracted.
Newest BIOS:
https://download.msi.com/bos_exe/mb/7B22v29.zip
Then the BIOS file E7B22IMS.290 is in a folder named 7B22v29.
So you need to unzip the file then open the folder and copy the BIOS file to the root directory of your flash drive.

Have you done that or did you just copy the .zip file to the flash drive ?
I've already done that as you can see in the pics sir.
